Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Business development planning:

  1. Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives with a typical horizon of 2-4 years.
  2. Adjudicate the inclusion of new opportunities in the Win Work pipeline.
  3. Analyse the customer base across Embassy & Olive to establish a common approach to retention and growth.
  4. Enhance business development work to achieve new signing targets.
  5. Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.

Business intelligence:

  1. Perform market analysis and research on competition.
  2. Develop and manage an up-to-date understanding of the macroeconomic environment over the agreed plan period, using the information to consider the implications for existing and new properties.
  3. Develop an understanding of relevant sectors and how they are likely to respond.
  4. Undertake key research to understand the Business and project drivers of sectors, customers, and potential opportunities.

Client relationships:

  1. Build on an already established network of contacts across Olive to bring opportunities into the business that can be converted to signed properties.
  2. Be able to both take the lead on client relationships.
  3. Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  4. Liaise with key stakeholders – Property owners, Transition, Sales, and Operations team, across all stages from lead generation to property going live.
  5. Engage with customers to anticipate potential business opportunities and implement actions that will position Olive with differentiated advantage.
  6. Prepare programmes of external communication, customer engagement and brand promotion that will contribute to the achievement of Olive’s objectives.

Key networking/events:

  1. Organise and represent Olive at key networking events to raise the company profile.
  2. Facilitate client targets dinners (Industry or Olive lead) to bring together the regional/operational team with our target client organisations to nurture client relationships and translate into real opportunities.

Key measures & targets:

  1. Market intelligence reports to be updated to track targets.
  2. Client engagement numbers against opportunities converted.
  3. New clients introduced to Olive.
  4. Customer satisfaction undertaken and feedback to be reported quarterly to the CEO.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate is expected to fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Experience in building commercial relationships to help deliver improved service and innovation to the customer.
  2. Existing network of contacts within hotel industry and Co-Living industry within the Indian subcontinent.
  3. Detailed knowledge of marketing and business development (strategic and tactical).
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  6. Ability to seek and develop new relationships to achieve strategic business objectives.
  7. Ability to convert client relationships into opportunities for the business.
  8. Create a culture of constructive and effective communication.
  9. Communicate with authority and conviction in all situations with all levels of staff/client organisations.
  10. Ability to contribute to development of strategy and take responsibility for delivering strategic objectives.
  11. Recognise changing market forces that may impact upon own or customers’ business and puts plans into action to make a positive contribution.
  12. Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external teams.
