Role Overview:

Business Development Manager (BDM)

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development – B2B:

  • Identify and engage potential institutional clients such as schools, colleges, builders, developers, corporates, and government bodies.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with stakeholders, decision-makers, and project heads.
  • Prepare and deliver customized proposals, presentations, and bids.
  • Participate in tenders, RFPs, and institutional procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with the technical/pre-sales team for feasibility studies and costings.

Business Development – B2C:

  • Generate and convert leads from housing societies, clubs, and individual buyers.
  • Conduct site visits, explain solutions, and close direct sales.
  • Drive campaigns, events, and exhibitions to attract B2C customers.
  • Build referral networks and manage repeat/renewal business.

Team & Operations:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Development Executives and Pre-Sales staff.
  • Monitor sales funnel, pipeline, and conversion metrics for both B2B & B2C.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue and growth targets.
  • Ensure smooth handover of projects from sales to operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in

    business development/sales

    in construction, real estate, building materials, edutech, or sports infra sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving B2B and B2C sales targets.
  • Experience in

    team management (handling 5–10+ members)

    .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network in institutional and residential segments is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and project discussions.
