Business Development Intern (Sales & Marketing Intern)

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks and learning.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and contribute ideas for team and company growth.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Generate leads using platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, LinkedIn, and other relevant sources.
  • Maintain and update customer databases with accurate lead information.
  • Understand the company s services to craft effective sales pitches.
  • Assist in developing and refining sales strategies to meet business goals.
  • Follow up with potential and existing clients to build relationships and drive repeat business.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Help manage and monitor social media accounts, content creation, and engagement metrics.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing efforts and provide actionable insights.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to support pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Build rapport and nurture long-term relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Prepare sales proposals, marketing materials, and presentations as needed.
  • Support the marketing team in maintaining documents and marketing collateral.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

  • Identify high-quality leads through research and outbound initiatives.
  • Maintain and update a structured database of potential prospects.
  • Contribute to sales pitch development, presentation creation, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist in executing marketing strategies and analyzing campaign outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and support for client queries and needs.
  • Actively engage in training sessions and take initiative in learning company tools and services.
  • Implement feedback and demonstrate continuous improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of new leads identified weekly/monthly.
  • Lead conversion rate (qualified leads).
  • Number of follow-ups conducted.
  • Quality and timeliness of prepared sales and marketing materials.
  • Client response rate and feedback quality.
  • Number of repeat client interactions.
  • Accuracy and completeness of administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Timely delivery of assigned tasks.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
  • Familiarity with IT services terminology (e.g., websites, apps, software).
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn, email communication, Microsoft Excel, and social media tools.
  • Good time management and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic environment.
