Sri Velavan Agro is a growing company in the food industry based in Trichy, specializing in millet-based products like cookies, vermicelli, and a variety of healthy rice options. We’re passionate about bringing healthy and traditional food alternatives to modern households.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive with 2–3 years of experience in the organic food or FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, modern trade, B2B, and online channels.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase product penetration in the organic food market.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, retailers, and institutional clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of queries.
  • Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to identify trends and potential growth areas.
  • Gather market intelligence to support product positioning and pricing decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for product expansion and new market segments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and production to ensure smooth order flow and timely deliveries.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Promote the company’s organic product portfolio in social media.
  • Support digital and offline marketing activities to enhance brand visibility.

Key Skills Required:

  • 2–3 years of business development/ sales experience in organic food, FMCG, or health food sectors
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand organic food product specifications and market dynamics
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of modern trade, distribution networks, and B2B sales is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Technology, or Master's Degree (MBA)
