Job Description

"Business Development Executive"

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, generate, and qualify new business leads through multiple channels (networking, cold calling, events, online platforms, partnerships).
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle independently: lead generation, client meetings, product demos, proposal preparation, scope of work (SOW) creation, negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Understand client pain points and recommend tailored software/ERP solutions.
  • Conduct field visits and in-person meetings with potential clients. Deliver product presentations and demos effectively to decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with technical/pre-sales teams to create customized proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain sales pipeline in CRM and provide regular sales forecasts/reports. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets consistently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of proven experience in software/IT sales (ERP/CRM/SaaS preferred). Strong knowledge of ERP systems (ERPNext, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create proposals, quotations, and scope of work documents independently.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills. Good understanding of solution-selling and consultative sales approach.
  • Open to travel/field visits for client meetings.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong networking abilities to build long-term client partnerships.
