Role Overview: Business Development Associate (SkillTyro)

At SkillTyro, a Business Development Associate (BDA) plays a crucial role in driving student

enrollment and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. This is a performance-driven role

where the associate is responsible for nurturing leads, repitching course offerings, and

converting interested prospects into enrolled students.

Core Responsibilities

1. Lead Engagement & Follow-Up

Engage with students in the positive funnel (interested or warm leads) through

cold calling and follow-up calls.

Re-pitch courses to students who did not convert initially, addressing objections

and building trust.

2. Course Presentation

Explain SkillTyro's course structure, career outcomes, and value

proposition in detail to help students make informed decisions.

Conduct demo sessions to provide an overview of course content and address

individual queries.

3. Conversion & Enrollment

Convert leads into enrollments by effectively handling objections and aligning

student needs with course benefits.

Ensure documentation and payment processes are explained and initiated in

coordination with the collections team.

4. CRM Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calls, meetings, and follow-ups

using TeleCRM.

Mark follow-ups, task completions, and updates on a daily basis to track lead

status.

5. Onboarding Coordination

Coordinate with the sales, academics, and collections teams to ensure

students are smoothly onboarded after enrollment.

Track pending onboarding steps and communicate timelines clearly to students.

Monthly Performance Targets

Targets are defined based on the associate’s experience, performance history, and

salary package.

Expected to consistently achieve or exceed enrollment numbers and maintain

high-quality student interactions.

Collaboration & Accountability

Work closely with:

Collections Team – to ensure payment and loan processes are completed on

Academic Team – to align student expectations with course delivery.

TeleCRM – to ensure 100% adherence to follow-ups and task completion.

This role demands ownership, persistence, and a student-first mindset, as BDAs are often

the first point of contact and the key decision influencer for a prospective learner at SkillTyro

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
