Key Responsibilities:

Report Writing & Analysis:

Prepare detailed reports, feasibility studies, and planning-related analyses to support strategic business initiatives in urban and regional development.

Business Proposal Preparation:

Draft customized business proposals and tenders for urban planning, infrastructure, and development projects aligned with client needs and technical scope.

Tender Submission:

Manage the end-to-end process of tendering including documentation, formatting, and timely submission as per regulatory and client requirements.

Client Relationship Management:

Establish and nurture relationships with public and private sector clients, offering planning solutions tailored to project demands.

Liaison with Government Bodies:

Coordinate with government departments, urban local bodies, and development authorities for approvals, permits, and compliance with planning regulations.

Project Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain organized and regulation-compliant documentation related to planning projects, proposals, and approvals.

Contract Negotiation:

Support in negotiating terms with clients, consultants, and contractors related to planning services and deliverables.

Market Analysis:

Conduct research on planning trends, upcoming urban projects, and policies to identify new business opportunities.

Sales & Revenue Generation:

Support lead generation and conversion activities in the urban development and consulting space.

Strategic Planning:

Assist in formulating business development strategies aligned with urban growth patterns, planning trends, and market demand.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Work closely with planning teams, GIS experts, finance, and project managers for seamless coordination and delivery.

Client Retention & Satisfaction:

Monitor client feedback and address concerns to maintain long-term professional relationships and repeat business.

Budgeting & Cost Estimation:

Prepare budgetary estimates for proposals in line with project scope, timelines, and planning deliverables.

Documentation & Reporting:

Ensure consistent reporting and tracking of all business development activities and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Background:

B.Plan / M.Plan (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, or related field).

Candidates with backgrounds in Architecture or Urban Design with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

2–5 years of experience in urban planning consultancies, development authorities, or related business development roles.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of urban and regional planning principles
• Familiarity with government tendering processes
• Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and planning software (preferred)
• Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and urban policy guidelines
