Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Associate/Manager to drive adoption of agricultural drone solutions and services, including crop spraying, crop monitoring, mapping, yield assessment, and precision-farming solutions. The role focuses on expanding business with farmers, FPOs, agri-enterprises, cooperatives, dealers, and government bodies while building sustainable revenue streams.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in business development or sales.
• Prior experience in agri-tech, farm equipment, agri-inputs, agricultural services, or drone solutions is highly preferred.
• Experience working directly with farmers, FPOs, or rural markets is a strong advantage.

Industry & Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of agricultural practices, crop cycles, and rural sales models.
• Basic knowledge of agricultural drone applications and benefits.
• Familiarity with drone regulations and subsidy frameworks (DGCA / state agriculture departments preferred).

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build trust with farmers and rural stakeholders.
• Result-oriented with high field mobility.
• Willingness to travel extensively in rural and semi-urban areas.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with government tenders, subsidies, and agri-schemes.
• Knowledge of precision agriculture, GIS, or data-driven farming.
• Existing network with agri-dealers, cooperatives, or FPOs.
• Multilingual ability for regional communication.
