Business Development Associate

About the Role

Illumin Academy, the authorised India-based operational partner of Welfare Health and Safety Academy (UK), is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to support the expansion of UK-accredited training and qualification programmes across India.

While the candidate will be officially employed by Illumin Academy, their daily work, objectives, and targets will align with the strategic goals of Welfare Health and Safety Academy in the areas of Sales and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Lead Generation

• Generate qualified leads for Welfare Health and Safety Academy’s UK-accredited programs (NVQ/RQF, Health & Safety, Care training, etc.).
• Conduct outreach through calls, emails, social media, and networking activities.
• Convert leads into student or corporate enrollments by presenting course benefits and structures.
• Maintain an organised and updated sales pipeline with clear follow-up actions.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with students, healthcare organisations, agencies, and corporate partners.
• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable UK training programmes.
• Support new clients through the enrolment and onboarding process via Illumin Academy.
• Ensure timely communication and high-level customer service.

Market Research & Strategic Input

• Conduct research on industry trends, competition, and student demand in India.
• Identify new markets, sectors, or regions for expansion.
• Provide feedback to improve products, sales processes, and marketing strategies.

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with Illumin Academy’s operations and admissions teams to ensure smooth processing of leads.
• Align with UK-based Welfare Health and Safety Academy staff regarding targets, marketing materials, and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, education consulting, or marketing.
• Strong communication skills in English and at least one Indian regional language.
• Confident in presentations, student counselling, and professional communication.
• Ability to work target-oriented and manage time efficiently.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in education, training, eLearning, or qualification sales is beneficial.
• Self-driven personality with a strong passion for business growth.
• Professional attitude aligned with UK communication and service standards.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-border teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Irinjalakuda, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
