Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Consultant who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients and partners across emerging markets. The role requires a deep understanding of digital lending, mobile financial services, and a strong analytical mindset to translate customer needs into actionable business strategies.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Data Science, and Delivery teams to design value propositions and help scale our partnerships with telecom operators, banks, and digital lenders.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with clients (Telcos, Banks, FinTech's) to identify business needs, pain points, and digital lending opportunities.

Conduct market and business analysis to design innovative credit and lending use cases.

Own the end-to-end consulting lifecycle: from opportunity assessment and stakeholder workshops to delivery planning and execution support.

Collaborate with internal product and analytics teams to define business requirements, product configurations, and success metrics.

Translate complex data insights into compelling recommendations and financial models (e.g., portfolio profitability, default risk, ARPU uplift, etc.).

Support Go-to-Market strategy, RFP responses, and client presentations.

Track industry trends (e.g., digital wallets, credit scoring, AI/ML in lending) and contribute to internal thought leadership.

Education:

Bachelor's in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (required)

MBA or Masters in Finance, Strategy, or Data Analytics (preferred)

Experience:

48 years of experience in consulting, fintech, telecom, or digital lending domains

Hands-on experience in emerging markets (Africa, LATAM, Asia) is a strong plus

Prior experience in working with mobile money platforms, digital credit, or scoring models

Functional Expertise:

Deep understanding of fintech business models and revenue drivers

Ability to design and interpret financial models and credit performance reports

Experience with customer segmentation, lending strategy, and GTM execution

Exposure to regulatory landscapes around credit and digital KYC in emerging markets

Tools:

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must

Exposure to BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python) is desirable
