Senior Business Analyst - Telecommunications (TMF Domain Expert)

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:
Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions with stakeholders across various business units (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, IT) to elicit, analyze, validate, and document detailed business requirements (functional and non-functional) for telecommunications projects.TMF Framework Application:
Apply deep knowledge of TM Forum (TMF) standards and frameworks (e.g., eTOM, SID, Open APIs, ODA) to define, analyze, and optimize business processes, data models, and system integrations within the telecom context.Solution Design & Specification:
Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and comprehensive functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows, ensuring alignment with TMF best practices and architectural principles.Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts.Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within telecom operations, leveraging TMF frameworks to drive efficiency and enhance customer experience.System Integration & Data Mapping:
Collaborate closely with technical teams (architects, developers, testers) to define integration points, data mapping rules, and API specifications, particularly those aligned with TMF Open APIs.Testing & Quality Assurance Support:
Support the testing phase by reviewing test plans, test cases, and participating in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional design specifications (FSDs), process maps, and training materials.Market & Industry Research:
Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the telecommunications industry, particularly those related to TMF advancements, to inform strategic planning and solution development.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
with a strong focus on the telecommunications domain.Demonstrable expertise in TM Forum (TMF) frameworks and standards
, including a strong understanding of:eTOM (Enhanced Telecom Operations Map):
Business Process Framework.SID (Shared Information/Data Model):
Information Framework.TMF Open APIs:
Knowledge of various API specifications (e.g., Product Catalog, Customer Management, Service Order, Resource Inventory).Open Digital Architecture (ODA):
Understanding of its principles and components.- Proven experience in
defining and optimizing telecom business processes
(e.g., Order to Activate, Trouble to Resolve, Usage to Cash). - Solid understanding of various
telecom technologies and services
(e.g., Mobile, Broadband, Fixed Line, IoT, 5G, BSS/OSS). - Proficiency in
requirements gathering methodologies
(e.g., agile, waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio). - Exceptional
analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
