Business Analyst - Product Innovation

About the Role

GlobalData, a leading data, analytics, and insights platform for the world’s largest industries, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Product Innovation team. In this role, you will help us build and refine our AI products by acting as a liaison between business strategy and technical execution. You will ensure every feature we build is not only technically sound but also directly addresses user needs and drives significant business impact.

What You Will Do

• Shape Product Requirements

  : Drive the discovery and documentation of business needs for our AI products. You will turn high-level ideas into detailed specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Serve as a Bridge

  : Act as the main point of contact between business teams and our engineering and data science teams. You will also work directly with Business Leaders, Product Managers, and Designers to ensure our products are useful, intuitive, and user-friendly.

• Provide Strategic Insights

  : Conduct market and competitive analysis with a focus on AI trends (e.g., LLMs, Agents). Use data to inform product strategy and drive continuous improvement.

• Measure Success

  : Define and track key metrics for our AI solutions. You will be responsible for reporting on product performance and making data-driven recommendations to leadership.

• Champion the User

  : Run first-user tests and gather early feedback to validate features. You will ensure every new feature not only works but truly solves a problem for the end user.

Qualifications

• Experience

  : 2-5 years as a Business Analyst, ideally in a B2B enterprise or startup in an AI-focused environment.

• AI Acumen

  : A strong grasp of applying AI capabilities and frameworks, like LLMs and Agents, to products and features. Experience with AI projects (personal or professional) is a big plus.

• Key Skills

  : Strong analytical and communication skills, a knack for creating clear requirements, and experience with Agile tools like Jira. Design thinking and basic/vibe coding skills will be your key differentiators.

• Education

  : A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
