1. Possess comprehensive analysis of Lending and credit risk associated with consumer and SME lending portfolios.
2. Have developed and/or enhanced Lending and credit underwriting models, leveraging statistical techniques and industry best practices.
3. Good exposure collaborating with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and operations, to gather and analyze relevant data for underwriting purposes.
4. Ability to evaluate borrower profiles, financial statements, and credit history to assess creditworthiness and determine appropriate lending decisions.
5. Monitor loan performance and analyze portfolio trends to identify potential risks and recommend proactive measures for risk mitigation
6. Design reports and present findings to stakeholders, including senior management and business partners, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
7. Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain underwriting models within the organizations credit management systems.
8. Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes related to credit underwriting to ensure the organizations practices remain current and effective.
9. Provide support and guidance to underwriting teams, assisting with complex credit cases and facilitating knowledge sharing.
10. Bring a good understanding of the Lending and Credit domain having worked in a similar capacity earlier
11. Interact with business users and the technical team for understanding of functional requirements
12. Support in client UAT
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the field of Lending and credit underwriting, specifically within consumer and SME lending
3. A strong background in Lending domain having good understanding of end-to-end lending lifecycle in areas such as lead management, loan origination, loan management and servicing, collateral management and delinquency handling
4. Should have good understanding of retail products loans such as Personal Loans, Mortgages, Vehicle Loans, Credit Cards etc and corporate products such as Overdrafts, Working Capital, Bill Discounting, Trade Finance etc
5. Proficiency in statistical modelling techniques and analytical tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, etc.).
6. Familiarity with underwriting models and frameworks, including scorecard development, credit decision trees, and rule-based systems.
7. Solid knowledge of consumer lending and SME lending products, including credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, and business loans.
8. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
11. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Pro-active, quick learner, ability to effectively work in multi-cultural and multi-national teams
