Job Description

Branch Head Business Development

Role & responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Achieve monthly business targets in

    gold buying, gold loan settlement, and silver buying

    .
  • Identify and implement

    local marketing and promotional activities

    to generate walk-ins and leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, gold loan customers, and channel partners.
  • Ensure

    telecalling, lead follow-ups, and customer reference programs

    are actively executed by the team.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in pricing and offers.

Branch Operations & Team Management

  • Supervise daily branch operations and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor branch staff (Sales Executives, Valuers, and CREs) for productivity and discipline.
  • Ensure timely opening/closing of branch and adherence to company SOPs.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and performance reviews.
  • Maintain hygiene, customer service quality, and professional environment at the branch.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure

    strict vigilance on gold valuation

    , purity testing, and prevention of fraudulent activities.
  • Monitor all transactions to ensure transparency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
  • Verify documentation, weight, and purity testing results before business closure.
  • Maintain records and ensure audit readiness of all branch transactions.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Send daily/weekly business performance reports to Regional Head/HO.
  • Coordinate with the marketing, operations, and finance teams for smooth execution of branch activities.
  • Suggest local strategies for improving walk-ins and conversions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate .
  • 36 years of experience

    in gold-buying, gold-loan, or financial retail industry (minimum 1–2 years in branch-handling role).
  • Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
  • Sound understanding of

    gold valuation, purity checking, and market pricing trends

    .
  • Good command over MS Office, WhatsApp Business, and CRM systems.
  • Goal-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in business planning.
