Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Executive with a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and support the finance function on a flexible part-time schedule. Candidates with an accounting/commerce background and a strong interest in part-time work are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and journals
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
  • Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement tracking
  • Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and periodic summaries
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related tasks
  • Provide timely financial insights and updates to management

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related finance roles
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, MS Excel, and basic financial tools
  • Knowledge of Zoho Books is an added advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Must be open and committed to part-time working hours

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA Inter, CPA, etc.) are an advantage but not mandatory
