Job Description

Role Design and development of automotive body electrical and electronics parts, including testing, development, and in-vehicle integration of Electronic Control Units (ECUs). Key Responsibilities Lead concept creation, design, development, and validation of body electronics components. Conduct design reviews and verification of CAD data using 3D design software. Prepare and review ECU hardware specifications in line with project requirements. Coordinate with suppliers for controller development, managing interactions, and ensuring alignment with technical standards. Conduct technical and design reviews with suppliers and internal teams. Perform engineering evaluation of parts at both the component and vehicle level. Coordinate to achieve project targets for design, validation, and development timelines. Manage project deliverables across multiple stages of the product development lifecycle. Design Responsibilities Drive design optimization to meet performance, cost, and packaging targets. Benchmark components for technical enhancements and localization opportunities. Ensure alignment with product and market requirements during design finalization. Technical / Functional Competencies Strong understanding of automotive body electrical and electronics systems, including ECUs, switches, sensors, and controllers. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Siemens NX10 or higher. Hands-on experience with CAN communication tools, particularly CANoe. Skilled in creating hardware specifications for automotive electronic controllers. Understanding of vehicle-level testing methodologies for ECUs. Proven experience in managing suppliers for development, validation, and testing phases. Desirable Experience Experience working in an Automotive OEM, involved in end-to-end development cycles. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in body/chassis controller development. Familiarity with the complete vehicle product development lifecycle. Exposure to full development of body chassis controllers and relevant systems. Behavioral Competencies A positive, proactive team player with strong coordination and collaboration skills. Ability to study and apply global and domestic industry trends to development work. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities. Capable of representing the department in cross-functional forums and stakeholder meetings.
