BMS Operator

Job Description

The BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining the Building Management System (BMS) that controls the heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, security, and other automated systems within a building or group of buildings. Key Responsibilities: Monitor the BMS system to ensure all building systems are operating effectively and efficiently. Respond to system alarms, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions as needed. Perform routine system checks, tests, and preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules. Adjust system settings and schedules to optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Maintain accurate logs and records of system operations, maintenance activities, and issues encountered. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for system repairs and upgrades. Provide training and guidance to other team members on BMS operations and procedures. Assist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades or expansions. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Generate reports on system performance, energy usage, and other relevant data as required.
