Location

At Chandpura or nearby - Tohana, Jakhal, in Haryana (preferred). Candidate must be based close to / nearby the site in Chandpura, Haryana or willing to relocate. Daily local travel to the site and nearby villages is expected.

Role Overview

This role blends hands-on field operations, basic inventory/process management, and grassroots outreach. The ideal candidate is a young professional (with 3- 5 years of experience) who has a blend of agronomy knowledge, field coordination experience, and people skills or is eager to develop them.

You will play a critical role in executing protocols on the ground, managing biochar logistics, quality and building local demand for biochar use through direct farmer engagement and retail outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee unloading, drying, storing, and bagging of biochar at the facility.
  • Implement SOPs and ensure quality consistency across batches.
  • Manage cleanliness, layout, and worker productivity at the site.
  • Maintain accurate stock records for biochar (incoming and packed).
  • Track and document material flow, daily expenses, and payment-related activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and site teams as needed.
  • Support the setup of a local biochar retail unit and its day-to-day operations.
  • Travel locally to engage farmers, vendors, and agri-retailers.
  • Promote awareness and use of biochar through field interactions.
  • Capture buyer feedback to support sales and product strategy refinement

Candidate Profile:

Must have

  • Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Rural Development, or related fields.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in agri-operations, field programs, or rural project work.
  • Basic documentation skills / proficiency in English able to record expenses, inventory, and write reports.
  • Digital familiarity WhatsApp, smartphone, and Google Sheets usage. • Willing to travel within 1520 km radius for fieldwork and outreach.
  • Comfortable in Hindi and/or local dialects for community engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising rural teams or agri-input retail programs.

• Background in agriculture or lived experience in rural setups. Mindset & Soft Skills We Value:
