Job Title: Billing Specialist Location: Medpark Hospital, Mohali Department: Finance & Accounts Experience: 2–4 Years Qualification: Graduate in Commerce / Healthcare Administration (MBA/PGD in Healthcare preferred) Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join the Finance & Accounts team at Medpark Healthcare. The role involves handling patient billing processes across OPD, IPD, Diagnostics, and Emergency, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely collection while maintaining a high standard of patient service. Key Responsibilities: Generate and manage bills for Outpatient, Inpatient, and Daycare services. Verify patient details, treatment records, and charge sheets before invoice generation. Coordinate with clinical and nursing departments for billing-related clarifications. Ensure accuracy in rate application as per tariff, packages, or TPA/cashless agreements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cashless/TPA billing procedures and documentation. Process advance collections, refunds, and final settlements. Handle queries from patients and relatives related to billing, payments, or insurance. Ensure timely submission of claims to TPA/Insurance companies with supporting documents. Reconcile payment collections, issue receipts, and update the system regularly. Support in internal and external audit processes with complete documentation. Work closely with the Front Desk, Ward, Accounts, and Insurance teams to ensure smooth billing operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in hospital billing or healthcare revenue cycle management. Knowledge of TPA billing, insurance workflows, and medical terminologies. Familiarity with Hospital Information System (HIS) and billing software. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills (Hindi, English, Punjabi preferred). Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends if required. Preferred Skills: Prior experience in NABH-accredited hospital billing. Understanding of GST, credit notes, and accounting entries related to hospital billing. Experience handling corporate or empanelment patients.
