Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Estimation and Costing:

  Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates for materials and work, and conduct rate analysis.

• Billing and Invoicing:

  Create and submit accurate invoices to clients and process bills for subcontractors based on project milestones and work done.

• Work Verification:

  Verify work progress through measurement books, conduct site visits for physical checking, and inspect work against architectural plans.

• Financial Management:

  Track project expenses, ensure they align with budget, and manage material reconciliation to identify and recover excess material consumption.

• Documentation:

  Maintain meticulous records of all billing-related activities, project costs, and quality assurance documentation.

• Collaboration:

  Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for billing purposes and resolve any issues.

• Compliance:

  Ensure adherence to project specifications, contractual terms, and relevant construction industry regulations.

Required Skills:

• Technical:

  Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP software.

• Knowledge:

  Understanding of cost estimation, rate analysis, bar bending schedules, and construction industry billing practices.

• Analytical:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage billing discrepancies and financial data.

• Communication:

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

• Organizational:

  Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing documents.

Qualifications

• Education:

  A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is typically required.

• Experience:

  Proven experience in billing and invoicing processes, preferably in the construction industry.
