Billing Engineer

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and complete contractor bills in accordance with project contracts and industry standards. Analyze and certify bills for accuracy and completeness before submitting them for client approval. Prepare reconciliation statements to identify and resolve discrepancies between project budgets and actual costs. Refer to specimen RA bills to ensure adherence to the proper format and billing procedures. Obtain client certification for bills by following up and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain detailed and organized records of all billing-related activities and documentation. Extract quantities from drawings and other project documents to calculate accurate bill amounts. Analyze rates for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure fair and competitive pricing. Verify measurements performed by site engineers to ensure they align with project specifications. Identify and prepare bills for extra items not included in the original contract. Handle billing processes for joint venture companies, ensuring all parties involved are accounted for. TMT BBS report in excel. TMT report reconciliation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred). Minimum 7-8 years of experience in billing engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience in preparing bar charts and S-curves to track project progress and budget. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
