Job Description

  1. Quantity Estimation

    :
    • Prepare and validate accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment required for the project.
    • Use engineering drawings, specifications, and project details to estimate quantities for work completed and remaining.
    • Coordinate with the site team to ensure on-site measurements match estimated quantities.
  2. Bill Certification

    :
    • Certify the bills submitted by contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Verify work completed and quantities of materials used against agreed terms, drawings, and specifications.
    • Ensure the invoices reflect accurate measurements and meet project requirements and standards.
    • Review and certify monthly/periodic progress claims in accordance with contractual agreements.
  3. Preparation of Interim and Final Bills

    :
    • Prepare interim bills based on the work progress, and certify them for payment.
    • Prepare and issue final bills after project completion, ensuring all work is accounted for and meets contract terms.
    • Ensure that all claims for extra work are validated and supported with proper documentation.
  4. Cost Tracking & Monitoring

    :
    • Track and report on the budget vs. actual expenditure for materials, labor, and other resources.
    • Assist in monitoring project costs to identify any discrepancies and ensure that the project stays within budget.
  5. Collaboration & Communication

    :
    • Work closely with site engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to track the progress of the project.
    • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendors for queries regarding billing and payments.
    • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure that invoicing is done correctly and on time.
  6. Documentation & Record Keeping

    :
    • Maintain proper documentation for all billing, invoices, payment certificates, and related correspondence.
    • Ensure all records are filed correctly and are accessible for audits and future reference.
  7. Compliance & Standards

    :
    • Ensure all billing procedures comply with legal, contractual, and company standards.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during estimation and billing processes.
