Job Description

Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications Generate running account bills (RAB) and final bills Conduct accurate quantity takeoffs for civil works including concrete, steel, masonry, and finishing items Verify and validate contractor bills against actual work executed and approved measurements Prepare variation orders and change order documentation with cost implications Maintain rate analysis and cost databases for different construction activities Coordinate with site engineers for measurement verification and progress updates Process payment certificates and ensure timely billing submissions Prepare cost reports and budget variance analysis for project management Handle price escalation calculations and contract rate revisions Maintain billing documentation and correspondence with clients and contractors Support project teams with cost estimation and tender preparation activities Required Qualifications Experience: 2–6 years in construction billing and quantity surveying Education: B.Tech/B.E. Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, rates, and measurement standards Standards: Familiarity with IS codes, CPWD specifications, and standard measurement procedures Accuracy: High attention to detail and numerical accuracy in calculations Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills for client interactions Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and documentation Analysis: Ability to analyze drawings and extract quantities accurately Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial construction projects (factories, warehouses, plants) Knowledge of ERP systems and construction management software Familiarity with e-tendering platforms and digital billing processes Understanding of contract terms and commercial aspects of construction Experience with government projects and compliance requirements Technical Competencies Quantity surveying and measurement techniques Rate analysis and cost estimation methods Contract administration and commercial management Understanding of construction contracts and payment terms Proficiency in billing formats and industry standards Cost control and budget monitoring techniques Price variation and escalation calculations Industry Focus: Industrial Construction: Factories, Warehouses, Plants Tools Required: MS Excel, AutoCAD, Billing Software, ERP Systems
