Job Description

As a Bid Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales efforts of new equipment globally. Your responsibilities will involve: - Reviewing the Clients Request for Quotation (RFQ) and performing equipment selections, including drivers and auxiliary systems, using company engineering tools or other selection tools specific to the product line. - Requesting guidance from the Sales Manager or Opportunity Leader for commercial risks and coordinating Proposal Bill of Material, System Drawing & Project Schedule. - Maintaining Sales Force (CRM tool) for items under Bid Management area of responsibility. - Assisting Sales Managers in developing Technical and Commercial strategies for successful Order Collection Process implementation. - Participating in the development of quantified Value Propositions and integrating technical activities, products, and services in proposals to meet deadlines. - Ensuring proposal process compliance with established procedures, including completeness, accuracy, configuration, risk assessment, and on-time submissions. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 7 to 15 years of relevant work experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent. - Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs and select engineering software. - Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and proficiency in spoken and written English; bilingual & international experience is a plus. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training, project presentations, bid clarification, and project kick-off meetings.
