Position Overview:The Head of Project will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects within the Diesel Generator manufacturing division, ensuring the effective execution of each project from initiation through to completion. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, as well as safety standards.Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interact with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and senior management, to ensure that expectations are met. Address customer concerns and provide project progress updates to stakeholders.Technical Oversight & Guidance: Provide expert technical guidance, particularly in Diesel Generator design, manufacturing processes, and deployment strategies. Ensure that technical issues are addressed promptly to avoid delays in project delivery.Project Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project timelines, changes, and reports. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and any potential impacts to senior management.Compliance & Safety Management: Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements during the execution of projects. Conduct safety audits and ensure that all team members are trained on safety protocols.Process Improvement: Continuously assess project management processes and seek opportunities for optimization and improvement. Qualifications and Experience:Education:B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.A Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.Experience:20-25 years of experience in project management, particularly in Diesel Generator manufacturing, power generation, or a related heavy machinery industry.Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, complex projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing key client relationships. Certifications:PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is preferred but not mandatory for this role. Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in resource allocation, budgeting, and cost management for large-scale projects.Deep knowledge of Diesel Generator systems, manufacturing processes, and technical aspects of power generation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
