As the Bid Commercial Manager in the EPC division at Polycab in Ahmedabad, your primary role is to oversee the commercial aspects of the bidding process. Your responsibilities include: - Leading the commercial aspects of bid preparation, such as developing and evaluating estimates for Detailed Project Reports (DPR) and Requests for Proposals (RFP). - Collaborating with technical teams to ensure that all commercial bids accurately reflect cost structures and project scopes. Your expertise will be crucial in: - Assessing the financial viability and profitability of bids through thorough analysis and reporting. - Identifying potential risks associated with bids and developing mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure. - Evaluating Pre-Qualification (PQ) and Technical Qualification (TQ) criteria to ensure compliance with client requirements and enhance bid competitiveness. - Maintaining detailed documentation of bid submissions, evaluations, and outcomes for future reference and learning. You will also be expected to: - Liaise with cross-functional teams like project management, engineering, and legal to align commercial strategies with project objectives. - Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients and vendors, to gather necessary information for bid preparation. - Prepare comprehensive reports for management on bid performance, highlighting areas for improvement and lessons learned.
