Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager (C&I Solar) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through client acquisition, project development, and relationship management in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the C&I (Commercial & Industrial) segment for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
  • Generate leads through various channels — corporate outreach, networking, cold calls, and industry events.
  • Develop and deliver business proposals, technical presentations, and financial models to clients.
  • Manage end-to-end business development cycles from lead generation to project closure.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project execution teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, competitor activities, and policy changes.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate decision-makers, EPC partners, and government bodies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Energy / Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar energy sales, specifically in the C&I segment.
  • Strong knowledge of solar policies, MNRE guidelines, DISCOM procedures, and net metering regulations.
  • Proven track record of achieving business targets and closing high-value projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools, and basic understanding of financial modeling (IRR, ROI).
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively for client meetings and site visits.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
