Job Description

In this role at Apple, you will have the opportunity to partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase. Your responsibilities will include developing measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at massive production scale. Additionally, you will develop and implement groundbreaking quality inspection tools to evaluate cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics. Your role will involve compiling and evaluating data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications. You will lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields and collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure proper definition of quality expectations. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate design and processes - Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods - Develop and implement quality inspection tools for part characteristics - Compile and evaluate data for process and part specifications - Lead activities to balance quality with yields - Collaborate to ensure proper quality expectations definition Qualification Required: - Experience with battery development, design, and/or qualification in mass production settings - Knowledgeable about lithium-ion battery electrodes and coatings production processes - Hands-on experience with battery performance characterization techniques - Experience in developing quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions - Familiarity with GD&T practices, Metrology, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis - Project management experience and problem-solving tools expertise - Strong communication skills and adaptability to a dynamic environment If you have experience building MES solutions based on ML or using failure analysis tools like SEM, TEM, FIB, it would be considered a plus. Additionally, familiarity with mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and manufacturing operations is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is required, while an ME/MS or PhD is preferred. Please submit your CV for consideration.,
