Role Overview

The Barman is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with brand standards. The role requires strong product knowledge, speed, consistency, guest engagement, and adherence to hygiene and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and beers as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Engage with guests, recommend beverages, and upsell premium products.
• Maintain bar mise-en-place, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of bar inventory.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in requisitions and stock counts.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and FSSAI guidelines.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol in compliance with local laws.
• Coordinate with service staff and kitchen for smooth operations.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve basic complaints.
• Support opening/closing procedures of the bar.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Understanding of spirits, wines, and bar equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Barman/Bartender in a reputed bar, restaurant, or hotel.
• Formal training/certification in bartending preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
