THE ROLE

As a

Barista

at

Bombay Sweet Shop

, you will play an essential role in providing a fantastic coffee experience to our customers. You’ll be responsible for brewing the perfect cup of coffee, serving specialty beverages, and sharing your passion for coffee with guests. Your role will involve greeting customers, offering recommendations, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile.This role will report to the

Cafe Operations Manager

and will be based at our

Oshiwara

outlet.

Whether you’re making a perfect espresso or educating customers on our unique in-house blends, you take pride in delivering an unforgettable experience.

YOUR TEAM

You’ll be part of the Barista Team, working closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations in a dynamic and vibrant cafe environment.

WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO

You’ll report directly to the Cafe Operations Manager, collaborating with the broader cafe team to ensure the seamless running of day-to-day operations.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Coffee Preparation: Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and other drinks according to customer preferences and company recipes.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, provide product recommendations, and share information about our in-house coffee blends.
  • Coffee Equipment: Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, while ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Sales: Upsell additional items, such as pastries or other beverages, to enhance the customer experience.
  • POS Management: Handle cash transactions, operate the POS system accurately, and ensure proper billing and payments.
  • Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and service area.
  • Health & Safety: Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To excel in this role, you’ll need:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in a customer-facing environment.
  • A strong knowledge of coffee, especially Indian coffees, with a keen interest in global coffee trends.
  • Experience in using restaurant software (POS, checklists, and inventory systems).
  • Fluency in English and Hindi for effective communication with customers and colleagues.
