Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and manage banquet events from start to finish. Coordinate with clients and the sales team to understand event requirements and expectations. Supervise and train the banquet team, including captains, servers, and setup staff. Ensure proper setup of banquet rooms, equipment, and d cor according to event specifications. Monitor event timelines and adjust as needed for smooth flow of service. Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring timely and efficient service. Oversee food and beverage service standards and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. Manage inventory, requisition supplies, and control costs to meet budget goals. Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly. Conduct pre-event and post-event briefings and evaluations with staff. Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure all elements of the event are aligned. Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banquet or event operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in event management software and MS Office. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays based on event schedules. Preferred Experience: Previous exposure to large-scale events and VIP functions. Knowledge of wine and beverages is an added advantage.
