Banking Domain Expert

We are seeking a Banking Domain Expert with deep expertise in Loan Origination Systems (LOS) to support our banking clients and internal automation teams. The role involves driving business understanding, ensuring strong domain clarity, enabling seamless automation, and supporting change management across projects. You will act as the functional backbone for our testing and automation initiatives in the banking domain.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirement & Business Problem Understanding

• Analyse and identify business problems, client needs, and process gaps through various forms of knowledge transfer (KT) including user stories, functional documents, and manual test cases.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional understanding for internal teams.

• Collaborate closely with all stakeholders (clients, product owners, BAs, QA/Automation teams) to ensure complete and accurate KT.

2. Business Case & Solution Support

• Assist in evaluating and supporting business cases that justify proposed solutions or enhancements.

3. Change Management Support

• Coordinate with customer teams on change requests, process changes, or requirement modifications.
• Ensure timely communication of all changes to the Automation team with complete clarity.

4. Functional SPOC for Automation Team

• Act as the primary functional point of contact for the Automation team.
• Resolve queries promptly to maintain delivery velocity.
• Ensure test coverage aligns with LOS workflows and client expectations.

5. Quality & Delivery Excellence

• Support the creation/review of test scenarios, functional flows, and banking process maps.
• Work proactively to mitigate functional risks and ambiguities in projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–12 years of banking domain experience with strong exposure to Loan Origination Systems (Retail/SME/Corporate Lending).
• Strong understanding of LOS workflows: application intake, credit appraisal, underwriting, risk checks, disbursement, and compliance.
• Experience working with testing/QA or automation teams is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret functional documents, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and test cases.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
