Bakery & Pastry DCDP

The Bakery & Pastry DCDP is an entry-level position in a bakery and pastry kitchen where you will assist Sous chefs in preparing and presenting baked goods and desserts. Your role will involve following recipes meticulously and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about baking, eager to learn, and committed to growing in the culinary field. Your responsibilities will include managing and overseeing kitchen operations to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation. You will be tasked with preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to the menu and chef's specifications, and upholding quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will train and mentor junior kitchen staff, collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items, and monitor stock levels to avoid shortages. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and have 1-2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a 5 Star luxury hotel. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations is essential. You must have excellent cooking skills, a keen eye for quality and presentation, and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication, leadership skills, and a positive attitude towards teamwork are crucial. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required is also expected.
