Job Description

TWF Flours is seeking a motivated and innovative R&D Baker Chef to support our Research and Development team. This role is ideal for graduates passionate about baking, product development, and learning the intricacies of the flour industry.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of new products by sourcing ingredients, conducting trials, and refining formulations to achieve desired outcomes.
Investigate industry trends, customer preferences, and market gaps to identify opportunities for innovation.
Evaluate product samples for attributes such as quality, texture, flavour, and overall performance to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Maintain comprehensive records of experiments, trials, and outcomes, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
Uphold safety, hygiene, and food quality standards across all R&D activities.
Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions to generate innovative product ideas and enhance existing offerings.

Qualifications

Degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field.
1 to 2 years of experience in R&D, baking, or recipe development in the food industry.
Experience in making sourdough breads.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Passion for food experimentation and a deep understanding of baking techniques and trends.
Basic knowledge of food processing standards and techniques.
