Role Overview

We are seeking a

Backend Developer (Intern or Full-Time)

to join our core engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in backend development but is also open to full-stack work when needed. You’ll build scalable APIs, work with cloud infrastructure, and integrate AI tools into backend services that power our EV platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful and asynchronous APIs using Python
  • Integrate AI/ML models and tools (OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, etc.) into backend services
  • Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable backend code with strong architectural design
  • Use Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration
  • Deploy services through CI/CD pipelines and manage production deployments on GCP
  • Utilize cloud tools like Cloud Run, BigQuery, Kubernetes, VPC, and VM Instances
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and AI teams to deliver complete features
  • Debug, monitor, and optimize systems for reliability, security, and performance

Requirements

  • Final-year student, recent graduate, or early-career engineer in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python, with practical experience in FastAPI or Flask
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, and cloud deployment
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, and use of Git/GitHub
  • Exposure to AI/ML APIs, model deployment, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and collaborative approach
  • Excellent communication skills and a learning-oriented attitude
