Job Title: Backend Engineer Experience: 3+ Years Location: Bangalore (Work from Office) Job Type: Full-Time Budget: 25-35LPA About the Role We are looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience in building and scaling backend systems for consumer-facing products. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys translating product specs into robust, cloud-native backend architectures. You’ll be working with modern technologies like Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and AWS, playing a critical role in shaping system design, performance, and reliability. What You’ll Do ● Design and build scalable backend systems that power real-time user experiences. ● Translate product requirements into clean, modular, and extensible backend logic. ● Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python with FastAPI. ● Architect efficient database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL. ● Implement and manage caching, queues, and background job processing with tools like Redis and Celery. ● Deploy, monitor, and scale systems on AWS (EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, SQS). ● Containerize applications using Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. ● Ensure system robustness through testing, observability, and proactive debugging. ● Collaborate closely with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features end-to-end. You’re a Good Fit If You Have ● 4+ years of backend engineering experience in a consumer tech or fast-paced product environment. ● Strong product thinking and ability to convert high-level specs into scalable architectures. ● Deep expertise in Python (FastAPI) and PostgreSQL. ● Experience working with message queues, workers, and caching systems (Celery, Redis, etc.). ● Familiarity with cloud-native environments and tools like AWS, Docker, and infrastructure automation. ● Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architecture is a strong plus. ● Ability to ship fast with clean, maintainable code and a focus on performance. Bonus Points ● Prior experience scaling backend systems to support high-traffic consumer apps. ● Comfort with distributed systems and microservice-based architectures. ● Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and tracing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
