Job Description

As the AVP of Sales at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading and scaling our sales function. Your responsibilities will include: - **Sales Strategy & Execution** - Develop and lead the execution of the company's overall sales strategy. - Establish clear sales goals, forecasts, and performance benchmarks. - Work with marketing and leadership to refine value propositions and go-to-market plans. - **Team Leadership & Mentorship** - Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing sales team. - Design and deliver structured training programs for new and existing sales staff. - Implement a repeatable sales playbook and ensure consistent methodology across the team. - **Sales Process, Tools & Systems** - Introduce and optimize CRM tools, sales automation platforms, and data-driven performance tracking. - Collaborate with the AI/product team to co-develop custom internal tools. - Define and institutionalize best practices in lead nurturing, pipeline management, and client follow-up. - **Client Engagement & Relationship Management** - Lead by example in high-stakes client conversations. - Drive relationship management and client satisfaction post-conversion. - Handle escalations and complex negotiations when necessary. - **Departmental Transformation & Thought Leadership** - Identify structural weaknesses within the current sales organization. - Design initiatives to improve onboarding, productivity, and culture. - Elevate the team's use of psychological selling techniques and sales principles. To excel in this role, you should have: - 10+ years of progressive experience in international B2B sales environments, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity. - Proven ability to build and scale sales teams in high-growth environments. - Deep knowledge of structured sales methodologies. - Strong coaching and mentoring abilities. - Exceptional communication skills. - Familiarity with CRM systems, analytics tools, and sales enablement platforms. - Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. - Leadership maturity and a bonus if familiar with the psychology of persuasion and behavioral science in sales. Your success will be measured by: - Measurable increase in lead conversion rates and sales velocity. - Improved team performance and onboarding consistency. - A scalable, replicable sales system adopted company-wide. - Enhanced client retention and relationship management. - Contribution to wider organizational goals beyond revenue. - Complete transformation of the department into a high-performing, proactive sales engine.
