AVP Collection

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management

  :
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of field collection agents and supervisors.
  
• Set performance targets and track team progress towards meeting those goals.
  
• Develop training programs and resources for staff to improve collection strategies, compliance, and customer relations.
  

• Collection Strategy Development

  :
• Design and implement field collection strategies to maximize recovery while minimizing risk.
  
• Review accounts for potential legal action and collaborate with internal legal teams for escalated cases.
  

• Customer Relations

  :
• Oversee direct customer interactions in the field to negotiate payment plans and settlements.
  
• Ensure the maintenance of strong customer relationships while securing timely payments.
  
• Handle escalated issues and disputes with customers, ensuring a professional and effective resolution.
  

• Compliance & Risk Management

  :
• Ensure that all field collection activities comply with federal and state regulations, such as FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and other relevant laws.
  
• Regularly audit field collection activities to ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  

• Reporting & Data Analysis

  :
• Monitor and analyze collection performance data and provide regular reports to senior management.
  
• Identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks within the collection operations.
  

• Cross-Department Collaboration

  :
• Work closely with the Credit, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure smooth processes from credit approval to collections.
  
• Coordinate with other business units to align field collection goals with overall organizational objectives.
  

• Budget & Resource Management

  :
• Manage the budget for the field collection department, including resource allocation and expense tracking.
  
• Ensure that all collection equipment and tools are maintained and updated.
