About the Role

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer who can design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks for our web and mobile platforms. You will focus on ensuring product stability, improving test coverage, and enhancing efficiency through automation. While manual validation may be required occasionally, your primary responsibility will be writing and executing automated test cases.

This role is ideal for someone who loves breaking things, thinking analytically, and building scalable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web and mobile apps.
  • Build scalable automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for automated testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Execute regression, functional, smoke, performance, and API automation tests.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to validate features.
  • Analyze automation results and generate clear test reports.
  • Continuously optimize automation coverage, speed, and reliability.
  • Work with REST APIs and databases (SQL) for backend validation.
  • Stay updated with the latest QA trends and recommend improvements.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Mandatory)

What You Bring

  • 2.5–4 years of experience in QA, with at least 1.5+ years in automation testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid, BDD — Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and documentation capabilities.

Bonus if You Have:

  • Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, K6).
  • Experience with version control (Git).
  • Experience testing SaaS or EdTech platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based test execution platforms (BrowserStack, LambdaTest).
  • Ability to mentor junior QA engineers or help define QA strategy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
