Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Odhav, Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, particularly with PLC programming, control panels, and commissioning of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

● PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:

○ Develop and program automation systems using Siemens PLCs (LOGO PLC, S7200 Smart PLC, S71200-1500 PLC, TIA Portal, and S7300 PLC Simatic Manager).

○ Work with other PLC brands such as Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley (AB), and B&R PLCs.

○ Debug and troubleshoot PLC programs for optimal functionality.

● Control Panel Design & Knowledge:

○ Design, maintain, and test control panels, including PLC, MCC panels, and VFDs.

○ Understand and implement relay logic and power circuit designs, including DOL andStar-Delta starters.

● HMI/SCADA Development:

○ Design Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition(SCADA) systems as per P&ID.

○ Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements and enhance control and automation systems.

● Site Commissioning & Installation:

○ Lead the commissioning of PLC panels, MCC panels, and other automation equipment at client sites.

○ Perform site testing, ensure proper integration, and address any on-site issues during installation.

● Instrument and VFD Knowledge:

○ Have a clear understanding of instruments, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other automation devices for effective troubleshooting and system optimization.

● Documentation:

○ Create and maintain detailed documentation including PLC program listings, wiring diagrams, and system specifications.○ Understand and interpret three-line diagrams and panel layouts.

● Collaboration:

○ Work closely with OEMs and end users to understand requirements and deliver effective automation solutions.

○ Provide technical support and guidance to team members as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

● Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

● Experience: Minimum of 1- 3 years in automation engineering with hands-on experience in PLC programming and commissioning.

● Technical Skills:

○ Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs (LOGO PLC, S7-200, S7-1500, TIA Portal).

○ Familiarity with other PLC systems such as Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, and B&R.

○ Proficiency in designing control panels (PLC, MCC) and understanding relay logic.

○ Experience in HMI/SCADA design and implementation.

○ Good understanding of instrumentation, VFDs, and power circuits.

● Other Skills:

○ Basic knowledge of MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.

○ Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

○ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
