Job Title: Automation Engineer – Commissioning & Process Controls
Candidate Basic Information
• Total Experience: Minimum 8–10 years required
• Willing to Travel: ~50% annually
• Comfortable with Hands-on Field Work
1. Core Technical Skills
• PLC Programming: Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD)
• PID Programming & Loop Tuning
• Communication Protocols: Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless,
IoT
• Worked with MQTT protocol
• Platforms Used: Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider
• IO List Preparation & Review
• SCADA / HMI Development (Preferred)
• Panel Engineering Knowledge
2. Instrumentation & Electrical Knowledge
• Thermocouple, Pressure, and Level Transmitters / Switches
• Proximity Sensors, Modulating Valves
• Instrumentation & Control Earthing
• Power Earthing
• Familiarity with Safety Systems (SIL, interlocks) – Preferred
3. Site & Field Experience
• Site Commissioning Experience
• Panel Wiring, Termination (Hands-on)
• Willingness for Physical Work During Setup
• Experience in Multi-Site Execution
4. Project & Managerial Capability
• Managed Teams / Technicians
• Hands-on with Industrial Automation Projects
• Vendor Coordination & Procurement Knowledge
• Ownership of Deliverables in Projects
5. Documentation & Communication
• Functional Design Specification (FDS)
• IO Documentation, Wiring Diagrams
• Control Panel Layout / GA Review
• Reporting, Email & Team Communication
• Exposure to Remote Diagnostics / Cloud Integration (Preferred
