Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer (Electrical) with hands-on experience in PLC hardware and software. The role involves installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems in industrial processes. The candidate should be able to design and implement control logic, maintain PLC hardware, and ensure smooth plant operations with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based automation systems.
• Installation, wiring, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLC hardware (modules, I/O cards, power supply, communication modules, etc.).
• Programming, debugging, and optimization of PLC software (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Integration of PLC with SCADA, HMI, and field devices.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of automation equipment.
• Modify and update existing PLC logic as per process requirements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety and industry standards.
• Support production teams in minimizing downtime through quick fault diagnosis.
• Documentation of programs, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process automation and improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation (PLC hardware & software).
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Ladder Logic, FBD, STL, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with PLC hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with SCADA/HMI development and integration.
• Good understanding of control panels, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in steel, cement, power, or process industries.
• Ability to handle shift operations and emergency breakdowns.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings and P&IDs.
