Autocad Drafter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate HVAC layout drawings, ducting diagrams, and piping schematics for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will work closely with project engineers, site teams, and clients to ensure all design documentation meets project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare HVAC layout drawings using AutoCAD
• Draft detailed ducting and piping drawings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements
• Review and revise drawings based on technical feedback or site updates
• Maintain drawing version control and proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and project standards
• Conduct occasional site visits to take measurements or understand layout requirements

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Drafting, CAD, or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential; 3D is a plus)
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC or MEP drafting (preferred)
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and layout principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and building layouts
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with duct sizing, pipe routing, and load distribution
• Experience working on residential and commercial HVAC projects
• Knowledge of industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.)
