About the Department

The Finance & Accounts department ensures accurate financial management, cost control, and compliance across all Y-Axis operations. This includes supporting audits, analysing financial data, and assisting in budgeting and reporting processes to maintain transparency and operational efficiency.

Your Role: Audit & Data Analyst – Cost Accounting Support

As an Audit & Data Analyst, you will support the Cost Accounting and Finance team by managing financial data, assisting audits, preparing reports, and analysing cost trends. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Cost Accounting Support:

• Collect, validate, and analyse financial data to assist the Cost Accountant in preparing cost sheets, cost allocation reports, and profitability analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis between estimated and actual costs, maintain production, overhead and operational expense records, and support product costing, pricing, and budgeting exercises.

2. Audit & Compliance Support:

• Assist internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Review vouchers, invoices, and ledgers to ensure accuracy, and report discrepancies or compliance gaps to management.

3. Reporting & MIS:

• Prepare MIS reports, Excel dashboards, and pivot tables for management review.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

4. Process Improvement & Efficiency:

• Identify opportunities for automation or process improvements in data handling and reporting.
• Recommend solutions to improve cost efficiency and operational accuracy.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate and timely cost data.
• Support management in decision-making by providing analytical insights and reports.

What we are looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance.
• Experience: 2–5 Years.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good understanding of accounting and costing concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts) and data analysis tools.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and process-oriented mind-set.
• Knowledge of ERP/accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar) preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
