About the Role

Associate Product Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:

     Define and execute the product vision for IoT and backend systems, ensuring alignment with business goals. 

  • Technical Leadership:

     Leverage deep expertise in 

    IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), backend services (APIs, microservices), and databases (SQL/NoSQL)

     to guide engineering decisions. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

     Work with engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless product development and deployment. 

  • Requirement Gathering:

     Translate business needs into technical specs, user stories, and actionable tasks for development teams. 

  • Performance Optimization:

     Monitor system performance, scalability, and reliability, suggesting improvements in architecture and DevOps pipelines. 

  • Market & Tech Research:

     Stay updated on IoT trends, backend technologies, and DevOps best practices to drive innovation. 

  • Agile Execution:

     Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management in an Agile/Scrum environment. 


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience

     in software development, with at least 

    2 years in IoT and backend systems

    . 
  • Strong expertise in: 

  • IoT Development

     (embedded systems, sensor integration, edge computing). 

  • Backend Technologies

     (Node.js/Python/Java, REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices). 

  • Databases

     (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, or similar). 

  • Cloud Platforms

     (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT). 
  • Familiarity with 

    DevOps tools

     (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform). 
  • Experience 

    leading development teams

     and mentoring engineers. 
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in 

    data-driven decision-making

    . 
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in 

    product management or technical product ownership

    . 
  • Knowledge of 

    AI/ML applications in IoT

     (predictive maintenance, anomaly detection). 
  • Certifications in 

    AWS/Azure/GCP, DevOps, or IoT

    .
