Job Description As an Associate System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of systems within the organization. You will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of servers and applications. This position offers an opportunity to enhance your technical skills while contributing to the deployment of scalable and efficient solutions that support business objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers and associated applications. Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and efficiency. Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues in environments. Support the application of security best practices, including patch management, user permissions, and system hardening. Help manage backup and disaster recovery processes to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting processes. Work closely with other IT teams to support the integration of Linux systems with other platforms and technologies. Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding systems and applications. Skills & Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field Familiarity with systems and technologies, potentially through internships or academic projects. Experience in P2V, V-Motion and VMware virtual center. Experience in configuration tools like Ansible / Chef Hands-on experience with Microsoft, VMware tools & technologies and industry best practices. Must Have Hands-on Experience on CA and SSL Certificate Good hands-on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment Good to have Hands-on Experience on IIS Web Services. Extensive experience with cloud integration, migration, and optimization. Good to have Hands-on Experience on MS cluster including Configuration and Maintenance. Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Window systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, IAM, subnet gateways) is added advantage Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN. Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex on Prem / cloud system issues. Maintain comprehensive and detailed documentation of Infrastructure configurations, changes, and procedures. Generate and present detailed reports on system performance, security, and compliance to stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Ability to adapt and knowledge to of hybrid environments (On prem & cloud). Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machines. Stay updated with the latest on Prem / cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure. Good to Have Skills: Advanced certifications related to Microsoft Servers, VMware and AWS Good to have knowledge with AWS Lambda functions Good knowledge of Window operating systems. Good to have any Scripting knowledge in PowerShell / python Contribution of migration of on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption. Optimize cloud resources and manage cloud-based applications for performance and cost-efficiency. Primary responsibility is to upgrade the infrastructure on hosting environment based on product release schedule across major greenway products. Provision new client environment based on the intake process based on go-live deadlines. Provision users on the client systems based on the internal user provisioning SOP. Storage Knowledge of SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions. Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems. Understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS). Basic experience with backup, recovery, and storage management tools. Windows Basic understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and related Windows technologies. Knowledge of system monitoring, patch management, and backup/recovery processes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for collaborating with teams and supporting end-users. Work Environment/Physical Demands Primarily office-based with potential for remote work, depending on company policy. Occasional data center visits may be required. Ability to sit for extended periods while working on computers. Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs) may be needed during hardware installation or upgrades. May involve occasional on-call duties or after-hours work Qualifications
