Associate Site Reliability Engineer Specialist

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments and infrastructure updates.
• Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Develop automated incident response mechanisms to mitigate operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and enforce SRE best practices, including error budgets and SLAs.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to identify potential issues before they impact production systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews for incidents and outages.
• Optimize AWS resource usage to reduce costs while maintaining high availability and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, automation scripts, and system configurations.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles with a focus on AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, and VPC.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Written and spoken proficiency in English
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of chaos engineering and fault injection testing.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
• Experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis.
• Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
