Jagannath Community College (JCC) is the first of its kind in the system of professional education in India to cater to employment oriented education to the Society. JCC, invites applications for the post of Assistant Professors/ Associate Professors for its Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in the field of Information Technology.


Role Description

1.  Plan & Deliver Students' Lessons based on IT knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

2. Observing and Managing Classroom dynamics.

3.  Stay Abreast of Latest IT Trends.

4. Monitor Student Progress through Administrating, assignments, Tests, and other activities.

5. Academic Advising and Counselling of Students and Keep track of Student Grades.

6. Publishing Research, attending Conferences, delivering presentations, and networking with others in the field.

7. Participate in department committee work.

8. Continuous development of curriculum through assessment, applied research, and initiatives designed to help students’ success.

9. Actively Participate/ Organize College Activities.

10. Invigilation and grading examinations and projects.

11. Participating in other College related administrative activities. 


Qualifications

  • Expertise in relevant subject matter, with strong teaching and research skills
  • Experience in academic publishing and developing curricula
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in student mentoring and academic advising
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental activities
  • PhD in a relevant field is required
  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred
  • Experience with educational technologies and online teaching platforms is a plus
