Job Description

  • Identify, analyse, interpret trends or patterns in complex data generate insights to strengthen in-market execution to maximize month sales revenue via multiple levers -Distribution, Sales productivity, trade spends optimization etc.
  • Recommend micro-cluster level propositions to unlock growth to improve Distribution, Assortment sales productivity.
  • Leverage analytics to identify patterns in sell-in KPIs and retail purchases to recommend inputs for sales strategy at market/ channel level periodically monitor trends to recommend course correction to be market relevant.
  • Determining the right assortment sell-in quantities at a store level for all SKUs by micro clusters.
  • Deep dive analysis on business problem statement to arrive at RCA and actionable Insights to improve distribution
  • Partner with sales third party for any market research work being undertaken

Customer Service

  • Translate the agreed proof of concepts to analysis and guide to pilot it in- market, evaluate the success further recommend the scale up plan.
  • Collaborate with sales team to enable them for data driven decisions process adherence

Internal Processes

  • Drive continuous improvements in reports, dashboards, reviews processes.

Digital Innovation

  • Leverage data analytics to identify opportunities/ risks by clustering, profiling predicting
  • Leverage AI/ML for predictive analysis automation
  • Partner with digital to leverage robotics/ BI dashboards to standardize reports across regions and categories
  • Test validate multiple digital solutions being worked on for sales execution Ex SFA Other tools like trade spends simulator

What are the Critical success factors for the Role

  • Bachelor s degree PCM, / PGDM/ Data science
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business insights preferably in FMCG FB.
  • Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of sales and distribution of FMCG, preferably GT Channel.
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics
  • Proficient in MS Excel Power point.
  • Quick learner with growth mindset delivers on time.
  • Collaborative approach
  • Agility to steer as per market trends / business prioritization.

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role

  • Working knowledge of FMCG datasets. Ex: Nielsen Market share distribution, Household panel data, Internal Sales KPIs
  • Experience in RGM Projects
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake
