The primary responsibility of this role is to provide post-execution OTC Derivative support to global Investment teams. This includes electronic trade capture, affirmation, confirmation, margin/collateral processes, and resolution of breaks across the derivative transaction lifecycle. The position requires strong coordination with internal teams, brokers, custodians, and fund administrators, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced operations environment.
Provide full post-execution operational support to Fund Managers and internal teams.
Manage day-to-day OTC derivative capture and affirmation processes for LDI, Structured Funds, Fixed Income (London/New York), Multi-Asset, Commodities, and EMD teams.
Monitor electronic affirmation, confirmation, and clearing processes; investigate and resolve matching breaks in a timely manner.
Identify, manage, and escalate operational risks promptly.
Support the processing and confirmation of all derivatives trading, including:
Margin and collateral processes
CFD, Options, CDS, IRS, and Inflation Swap confirmations
OTC electronic confirmations on trade date
Review paper confirmations for OTC derivatives and repos in accordance with MCA templates, ISDA, and GMRA terms; ensure EMIR compliance.
Liaise with portfolio managers, brokers, custodians, administrators, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely settlement.
Manage lifecycle events, reconciliations, and reporting for both Exchange-Traded and OTC derivatives.
Act as an escalation point for counterparties and internal clients on issues impacting the derivative lifecycle.
Provide internal and external reporting; ensure fund administrators receive timely and accurate trade, cash, and position data.
Prioritise workload, escalate issues appropriately, and provide regular status updates.
Maintain strong working relationships with trading desks, FMAs, operational teams, and external parties.
Support and mentor junior analysts.
Contribute to process improvement, operational risk reduction, and change initiatives.
Ensure procedures and controls are up to date; support projects, regulatory changes, and client onboarding.
Experience resolving trade breaks, reconciliation issues, and confirmation mismatches.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks early.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operations environment.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Team-oriented mindset with willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.
Comfortable escalating issues when appropriate.
Knowledge of Exchange-Traded derivatives and related processes.
Familiarity with fund administration processes and reporting workflows.
Exposure to workflow improvement initiatives or automation tools.
Experience with operational risk management and control frameworks.
Ability to support regulatory or technology change projects.
Prior experience training or mentoring junior staff.
